A day at the beach

Today Olivia and I went to the beach at Flandreau State Park. It's been the first nice day in a long time and was much needed for both of us! I pulled her in our new bike trailer (Pat's early Father's Day gift)-it's only about 6 miles roundtrip, but spending a couple hours in the water and sun made for a long ride back home. We met some other friends there and had a blast. Olivia just loves to be in the water, which is good, but makes it quite a challenge when they have 10 minute breaks. It's not quite easy explaining to an almost 2 year old that you have to get out of the water to rest. Good thing for goldfish & juice!

Olivia all ready to go!

The swimming pool at Flandreau State Park-it's a sand bottom chlorinated pool-very cool! Olivia is the one down in front of the red bucket.

I sat Olivia in the bike trailer when we were getting ready to leave & she immediately put her head down and closed her eyes. She looked so comfy, but had to get her strapped in. Surprisingly she did fall asleep on the way home-with one hand in her snack bag even. She was tuckered out!
