Moving day is coming soon!

I haven't posted too much this month-we've been busy with the move getting things packed up & Pat's practice, HealthPlex Chiropractic ready to be up & going by November 1st. Tomorrow is the last day of work for both of us so with work, and a baby, and a busy 3 year old, packing hasn't always been the 1st priority but we're getting there. We had a going away party a couple weekends ago given by some friends and one last weekend from my friends at work. Grandma Kathee also came for a weekend to help watch the girls so we could get alot done w/ little to no interruptions-it was a big help! Olivia's been keeping us busy with all the new things she's learning. She has been LOVING the movie Mama Mia for the dancing & the singing & was watching it non-stop for quite awhile. We did have to return it to the video store/aka hide it b/c she picked up on a line by Meryl Streep-"stupid little slut"-& which I had become the target of & was repeated a couple times by her. We think she picked up on the line b/c she has a "thing" for the word stupid and we have done everything for her to quit saying it. Therefore, the search for Annie is on. I have looked & looked to buy that movie but have been unsuccessful.
The other day I was putting lotion on her legs & bottom & as I'm rubbing it on her bottom she says to me "I've been working on my buns". What??? She picked it up from one of the girls at daycare-I couldn't help but giggle. Hopefully my 3 year old really isn't concerned about her buns being in shape already! She definitely keeps us going!
Anyway-back to the move-I'm posting a few pics of Cora's nursery that I free hand drew & painted and worked so hard on while I was pregnant. I think I even was working on it up until about 38 weeks. As excited as we are to be moving to Sioux Falls, I have had a really hard time parting with her nursery. And worse yet, I have to paint over it b/c the new owners don't have kids that would appreciate it. I did take drawing paper and traced it yesterday so I can do it again & won't take as long now-so you may be seeing it again :)

Cora is 3 months old

Cora is 3 months old today! We are having so much fun with her. She is such a smiley baby (except of course when I have the camera out-how do they sense that?) We're also getting alot of coos & "talking" from Cora. It's so adorable & fun to see her interact with you & watch as she follows you with her eyes. She has found her hands, as you can see in some of the pictures, and loves to put them in her mouth. Cora isn't quite sleeping through the night. She's only getting up once though-usually about 4 AM. But she eats & goes right back to sleep & makes it easy on us :) Olivia loves to give her little sissy hugs and kisses-can't wait to see what she's going to learn from her in the future!

Olivia scootin around

Olivia got this little scooter from some friends at daycare that had outgrown it. She just loves zippin around on it & does quite well with it!

Olivia in action

She was not happy about me taking her picture, but I did manage to get some cute ones ;)

Catching up with our news

Last weekend (Thursday) we went to Grandma and Grandpa Driscoll's to stay. Pat had to be in Pierre on Friday to meet with the SD Chiro Board to get his SD license! (And b/c it's only an hour from G&G's, I decided to take the girls so we could spend the wknd there) And as I'm sure all have heard our news by now-but we are moving to Sioux Falls at the end of October. Pat will be starting up his own practice and renting space from another DC friend of his. We are super excited to make this move, but are are leaving some great friends & jobs here in New Ulm. We do know that this is our last move-we are finally going to be settled!

Olivia trying to squeeze into Cora's 3-6 month jeans & by golly she did it! Looks like me trying to fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes!

One happy, smiley baby

Daddy teaching Olivia how to break the sticks over her knees to help gather firewood for our bonfire that night. She got pretty good at it! We roasted marshmallows & "watched out for the rabbits and coyotes" that Olivia was sure were going to get us.

Grandma and Olivia at the "Marching Band Park" as Olivia calls it. It's right next to their school & last time we were in Gettysburg at the park, the marching band was outside playing. We had to leave b/c Olivia was terrified that the marching band was going to get her. Coming from the girl who loves to play on her cousin Jason's drum set.

"Bad Girls of Sturgis"

Here's the story to this picture- When Olivia was born, Uncle Justin was out in Sturgis so he brought Olivia a onsie back that says "Bad Girls of Sturgis". I had done a blog entry on it and titled it that. When you google 'Bad Girls of Sturgis', our blog entry is the 2nd thing that comes up. The owner of this shirt company, Tom, out of Mitchell, SD, had emailed me wondering if they could use Olivia's pic on their FB page. I said sure-as long as the sight remained tasteful, and which it has. Well, before Cora was born, he contacted me again and had followed our blog on & off & seen that we were expecting another girl & asked if he could send her a onsie.. You can't read it in this pic, but it says "Bad Girls of Sturgis..Potty All Night". Very cute. Tom also asked if he could send Olivia a tank & when they came in the mail, he had sent me a matching one to Olivia's! :) Instead of Potty All Night, they say "Here Comes Trouble" (And all free of charge!) So, if anyone gets out to Sturgis next year, please look up their booth & take a look at what they have! Tom if you're reading this-thanks a bunch! We had a great time doing the pics.
