Little Miss Mommy
Yesterday Olivia was playing Mommy to one of her babies. She pulled out her 'vanity' chair and sat the baby down and pretended to curl her hair with her little curling iron. Before this, I was sitting on the floor & she was patting my cheeks as if to be putting make-up on me, and then got out the curling iron and played with my hair. After the baby was done, she brought the baby and chair and sat them right in front of the TV and told the baby to watch. She then read books to the baby as she talked to her. It was the cutest 15 minutes ever!

Happy Father's Day!
I want to wish all the dads out there a Happy Father's Day! Especially to Pat, my Dad, and Lee. Hope everyone's day was relaxing! Olivia and I got home about noonish & tried giving Olivia a nap. She wasn't quite going for it, so I went & got her this cute little waterpillar sprinkler. She and Daddy ran through it a number of times. It finally wore her out long enough to get in a good nap.

Heritage Days
It was our annual Heritage Days in Rock Rapids this weekend (where I grew up) so Olivia and I drove down to see the parade, play in the park, and visit some high school friends. It was Heath's 20 yr class reunion too so his family pulled their camper down to stay, and my mom came to help with the kids. My mom stayed at a friends of hers with all 4 kids last night-bless her heart! I stayed with Heath & Kristi in the camper and went to the street dance with some friends. Great times!
Anna, Ryan, Olivia, and Ethan
All through the parade, Olivia kept calling for Anna- "Anna, Anna, Anna, Anna". When Anna would look at her, Olivia would point to the parade and say "Watch".

A day at the beach
Today Olivia and I went to the beach at Flandreau State Park. It's been the first nice day in a long time and was much needed for both of us! I pulled her in our new bike trailer (Pat's early Father's Day gift)-it's only about 6 miles roundtrip, but spending a couple hours in the water and sun made for a long ride back home. We met some other friends there and had a blast. Olivia just loves to be in the water, which is good, but makes it quite a challenge when they have 10 minute breaks. It's not quite easy explaining to an almost 2 year old that you have to get out of the water to rest. Good thing for goldfish & juice!

My little Princess
Yesterday I went garage saling & spent the best $10 ever. I got Olivia this little vanity set that comes with a curling iron, blow dryer, and some sort of bottles. I painted her toenails hot pink the other day (Pat about had a heart attack) and thought this would only make sense then to buy. She loves it & has been playing with it non-stop. It's so fun to see her pretending to get herself all dolled up. She looks in the mirror & will talk to herself too. Oh I LOVE having a little girl! Today she had the curling iron and was using it on Coco and Abby-wish I had the camera for that one!

The sidewalk of ABC's
We're trying to teach Olivia the ABC's-so far she knows "A-B" and "O". She has a ways to go-but doing pretty good. If she sees any letter-she points & says "A-B!" When Olivia and I were at my parents, my mom and I were playing Scrabble & she climbed on my lap and pointed to my letters & pointed & yelled "O!!" She was right-I had an O. And Grandma knew it then too! Today Pat wrote the ABC's on the sidewalk and drew a picture of something that started with each letter. Olivia was jumping all over & so excited about it. It was so cute!
