A Day at the Park

Mom joined a mom's group today. Our first little outing was at a park today. It was 75 degrees out so it was perfect weather. We met alot of moms and kids of all ages. It will be fun to be around other little ones! They meet once a week and do a variety of activities. Mom's looking forward to it to meet other moms with little ones and so that I can get into a play group too. All the moms go out twice a month for dinner, so I think she is excited about that too! Can't wait for the next outing!

Thanks for visiting Jodie!

Mom's friend Jodie from Sioux Falls came to visit us this past weekend and left yesterday. We miss her already! We had such a good time-went for walks and did alot of shopping. We also got to hang out outside alot because of the nice weather! Thanks for coming Jodie! And thanks again Grandma and Grandpa Driscoll for the cute outfit for Valentine's Day that I'm wearing! I love it!

We miss you Jerry and Nadine!

Our good friends-Jerry and Nadine Beck moved this past weekend to Ft Collins, CO. We sure are going to miss them! My parents and them have had a lot of good times together. They are the grateful friends that drove all the way to Sioux Falls in January to pick us up after dad spent a week in the hospital with his infection. From that trip, I started thinking of them as the car seat people-seemed like we were always going somewhere whenever we were with them! Here in the picture they are all playing cards. I can't remember for sure when it was because they always got together. I always had fun because I got to take turns sitting on everybodys laps. We are looking forward to visiting them real soon. It's a 7 hours drive-looks like I'll be back in the car seat! I can't wait! We miss you!

I'm a little stinker!

Mom and I have been working alot more now that Dad's back in the office. Some days I behave really well, and some days I'm a little pistol. I think Dad was about to find me a daycare this morning. I was being a little stinker. I have all the toys I need at the office, but they're not any fun to me. I love playing with the highliters, the phone cord, pens, grabbing paper on the desk- anything not made by Little Tikes, Baby Einstein, or Fisher Price. I was FUSSY until Angie gave me this old keyboard and it kept me busy forever. Mom and Dad better start shopping at Office Max and Best Buy instead of Babies R' Us and Target.

Great News!

It's been awhile since I've posted the latest on Pat's injury. Things are going much better now. He ended up having his picc line in for 7 weeks, with me giving him antibiotics once a day through it. He got that removed just last week, so that took care of his weekly trips to the infectious disease Dr and Walgreens home health care. Yesterday Pat had his appt with the surgeon to see if the progress is enough right now that he won't need any more surgeries (either going in and stretching the scar tissue or putting in a cadaver tendon), and he got the great news that things are going just as planned so doesn't look like any more surgeries are in his future!! He also gave him the ok to go back to work half days-which, he already started doing that on Monday. He got too impatient sitting at home. He will have some swelling for the next 4 to 6 months and will walk with a slight limp for the next year/year & a half. Pat still has to continue his physical therapy once a week, but it has made some great improvements for him and he is really enjoying that part of it. He is now out of his boot for half days and wearing regular shoes, so he comes home from work and kicks his feet up, and as a bonus gets to play video games on his computer until the swelling goes down. Overall, things are going very well. Pat was told he won't run again, but he's got the determination and mindset that he's not ruling that out. He may not be able to do alot of things as he used to, but is looking to get back into hunting, more fishing, camping, and on the positive side he can drink beer doing all the above!
