Baby Korban James Driscoll

A big Congrats to my brother Justin, Jessica, and Caden on the birth of Korban James! He is one handsome little guy! He was 8lbs, 21 inches, and everyone is doing well. I'm so lucky to be living close to share in the excitement!

Big Brother Caden
Korban was a surprise whether or not he was going to be a boy or girl. Caden wanted a brother so bad and called the baby, Leonard. Well, this stuck and Olivia knew the baby in Jessica's tummy as Leonard so when we got to the hospital to see Korban, Olivia kept trying to correct us that he was Leonard, not Korban. And then it was, "who's Korban?" It took a bit for her to understand :)

Justin is such a proud papa! He had made up little onesies with his logo-Driscoll Construction on the back.

Cora's crawling!!!

Cora's crawling and I'm not even sure where she picked it up! She wasn't even close-except that she could scoot herself backwards. This morning I put her on the floor in the living room in front of her toys & went to make coffee. I came back less than 2 minutes later to check on her and she was crawling all over the place! It was amazing! I'm thinking she started for one of three reasons: She knew Korban was going to be born today & was no longer the baby so better start crawling, she knew G & G Driscoll would be coming to see Korban & wanted to show off to them, or she's turning 10 months tomorrow & decided it's about time. Time to baby proof the house!

Mother's Day Weekend

Happy Mother's Day to my mom and Kathee-You both are amazing women and such great role models. Hope you enjoy your day :)
We spent Mother's Day Weekend in Algona and had a great time. Pat's cousin, Chase also graduated high school so we were able to see alot of Pat's relatives. Aunt Betchy (Olivia's pronunciation of it-love ya Betsey :) ) & Uncle Bill stayed at G & G Froehlich's also-hadn't seen them for so long-was great to see them and catch up!

What are the chances that this net has never been used? Being at Grandpa Froehlich's, probably not good!Olivia helping Grandma drown, I mean, water the flowers. My happy baby :)The four of us on Mother's Day-I am lucky to have two wonderful girls and being their mother is truly a gift.

The girl's new swingset

Our last swing set we had for Olivia was in New Ulm. We got it off Craigslist for free-the catch was that we had to come get it, tear it down, and haul it away. It was probably 20 years old but definitely served its purpose for us and Olivia absolutely loved it. So, we decided here to buy one for her. We've now had it for probably 3-4 weeks and have already gotten our moneys worth. Olivia would sleep under the stars if we let her-she just loves the outdoors so much doing anything and playing on her swingset just makes it all the better! Pat, Uncle Dan, and our good friend Greg, set it up from 11am-7pm and Olivia was at their heels helping the whole time. Olivia and her Daddy sorting out all the pieces. Olivia & her Uncle Dan-she just adores him!Olivia measuring the pieces.

As you can see from the above pictures, the swingset is all put together. However from the bottom pic, there's still SACKS of pieces left! Cross your fingers.

Lots of updates

So I think I'm finally caught up on the blog from the last month or so. I can look at this later on and think that I really did keep up all the time, but in reality I just did it all tonight and changed the dates accordingly. It's been a little hectic for me with going back to school and working full time. All is going well, but don't have a lot of spare time to do some of the things I love to do-i.e. my blog & scrapbook. I am taking the summer quarter off though, so hopefully will get better with the postings. I have a list of projects I want to get done over those 3-4 months & then it's hitting the books again in the fall!

Ryan's 3rd Birthday

My nephew Ryan is 3! We celebrated with a circus theme birthday party! I think his favorite part of the whole event was his 10 balloons. She sure loved them!
Grandma Driscoll had made rootbeer floats with these very cool circus glasses that my Grandma Wallum (her mom) had used for parties. It had been years (probably 30+) that I had seen these and had forgotten all about them. Brought back some good memories of my Grandma :) I'm sure she was watching the great-grands using them and smiling down.
