Hiking at the Petroglyph National Monument
Today the three of us went to the Petroglyph National Monument in Albuquerque to go hiking. We had bought the newly used baby carrier/back pack a few weeks ago and wanted to finally try it out. It was a gorgeous clear day. We literally got 10 minutes into the hike and Olivia fell asleep. And she was out-there was no waking her up. It looked so uncomfortable for her so we turned around. We did stop at REI on the way home and bought a book-60 places to hike 60 miles from Albuquerque. We've found a few new trails we're hoping to try out soon. And hopefully next weekend we'll start/finish the hike at the Petrolyphs in hopes of seeing alot of the carvings.

That's my girl!

Olivia already loves shoes!!

Yesterday I got out some clothes from a hand me down box to go through (from Jayna-thanks! she will get alot of use out of them for this fall and winter!) and in the pile was this black pair of shoes. She brought them to Pat and he asked her if she wanted them on and she gave him a big nod that she did. She wore them all day long-up until we changed her into her pajamas. She loved them! They are 2 sizes too big, but she clanked around in them all day. Having hard wood floors throughout most of the house, it was pretty easy to keep track of her!
Party in the Crib!

On Saturday morning we heard Olivia talking away in her crib. Pat and I went in and Olivia had her top off and had thrown out her blanket and pacies. She was having so much fun-literally running around in her crib, shaking the bars, and laughing away! I still don't know how she managed to get her top off but she did yesterday after her nap and she got it half off today. She just cracks us up!

Olivia's new outdoor play set
I picked up a "newly used" play set for Olivia last night and we set it up today. It was a fun 20 minutes for her and then of course she wanted to go play in the rocks and water on the ground from Pat watering the plants. She did have fun though-loved the slide going down, and even more fun trying to go up!
